Description Of Incident: Probable tornado touchdown in area of Hawthorne.

1530hrs- Reports of a waterspout on the Hudson River, north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. USCG Sector NY receiving distress calls. Tarrytown Fireboat 5, Yonkers Police Marine 1, Rockland County Sheriffs Marine Unit and USCG all responding.

Tornado Warning issued for Southern Westchester County until 1615hrs.

1535hrs- Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow receiving numerous calls for trees and wires down. Some residents reporting funnel cloud.

1540hrs- Route 9A, I/F/O Wendy's, Unmarked SP Unit operated by Sgt/SC exiting Wendy's parking lot as Tornado touched down. Vehicle engulfed by funnel cloud, became airborne and landed on roof. Then became airborne second time and landed on wheels. Sgt able to self extricate. Transported to WMC by SP Lt. due to EMS responding to building collapse 1/10 mile further south.

1542hrs- Hawthorne FD dispatched to 16 Saw Mill River Road "California Closets" for possible building collapse.

1544hrs- PD on scene confirming collapse of the walls of a commercial building.

1550hrs- Units attempting to locate all workers in the building at the time of the collapse. Reports of people unaccounted for.

1552hrs- Countywide Police Mutual Aid Plan on stand-by (level Green).

1555hrs-County Car-2 requesting Greenburgh Technical Rescue Team to the scene. WCPD closing Saw Mill River Parway due to storm damage.

1556hrs- M/A Thornwood, Valhalla Rescues to the scene.

1557hrs-Thornwood R-75 10-17. PD rpts an overturned container truck in the Valero Gas Station - Route 9A.

1600hrs-Yonkers FD Collapse Rescue Unit requested.

1602hrs- YFD responding with B-2, E-311/Collapse Unit, Rescue 1, Car 4 and TL-75

1610hrs- Marine units have conducted searches with negative results. USCG securing.

1625hrs- Off Duty Chief O/S confirming people missing at 16 Saw Mill River Road.

1627hrs- YFD B-1 O/S. M/A New Rochelle for Rescue 4 to scene.

1650hrs- New Rochelle R-4 in Hawthorne. YFD units responding to 40 Saw Mill River Road to check stability of building. Units confirming that there are no victims trapped in any structure ATT.

1800hrs- All Yonkers units 10-8, returning to the city.
