Description Of Incident: Housing units encountered a man with a fully loaded tech-9 sub-machine gun in the area of 100 Herriot street. Officers engaged in both a foot and vehicle pursuit resulting in the capture of the suspect after a violent struggle. During the incident, two housing officers suffered minor injuries as well as 1 police vehicle with damage, due to an accident with a wall during the pursuit. The suspect was transported to St. Josephs Hospital via Empress paramedics with injuries. ESU on scene assisting with injuries, crime scene and securing the weapon.
