Marine units requested for fireworks standby

The Cold Spring Fire Company will be celebrating its 110th Anniversary on July 8th, 2006 with a parade and fireworks. We are expecting a large turnout of boat traffic on the river and are looking for departments that may be interested in supplying standby coverage on the river. hey have you contacted uscg sector ny? i am in the coast guard and actually have provided a security zone at macys fire works. also as of recent time i have been stationed at fire island and have assisted on many fire works details. if worse come to worse, you can always use your local uscg aux. flottila, i believe there is one in haverstraw. just an idea but try sector ny first. if you want i can give you the number
