Governors Island On Jane's New York

Tonight, on WNBC, there was a program entitled "Janes New York: Governors Island".

I am now fascinated by this island, want to learn more about it's history, and take a trip over there. It's like frozen in time! Many neat buidlings just abandoned.

Another neat feature of this show is they did a segment on the FDNY outpost that is there, with a ton of cool shots of the ALF Engine they are using.

Don't know if they repeat the show, but keep your eye out for it! It was a great look at this often overlooked part of NYC.
