To create your own ringtones - download "Cool Edit Pro 2.0" - do a google search, you can download a trial version and use it free for 30 days, and then choose to purchase it if you'd like. (for those of u who are "good," you may be able to find a way around purchasing it, becasue it is a rather expensive program. I'm not going to get into detailed instructions on making the ring tones, but when you select to create a new file, a settings box comes up - select a "sample rate" of 8000, Mono channel, and an 8-bit resolution. You can then record pieces of songs, or pretty much any audio file. (always save as a .wav file)

To upload your ring tones to a NEXTEL phone - and this only works for nextel!!!

Go to this website: Harry Thompson's Page and follow the instructions 100% to a "t" If you don't it won't work right. You will also need a data cable, which can be purchased at any nextel store.

thanks, that's good to know. it's been tough locating a ringtone of a blood curdling scream.
