Westchester Firefighters Field Day

With all the mutual aid that has been going on in recent years, it would be great to do something like a firefighters field day at the training center where there are venders and firefighting items that can be purchased. They could also have demonstrations put on using the training facility. This would be great for people to see even for membership in the departments in the county so they can see what we go through as far as training. It would be very helpful to see instructors who are actually teaching the classes and be able to speak with them on the various classes that wouold be available. Currently I'm not very good at tests so maybe some other instuction may be available for people who need the extra help to pass these exams. Parking could be coordinated with the county bus system for this event or the lots of other facilities in the area to make this event a success. This is just a thought. it's somthing great to look into since not everyone can attend conventions and montour falls training acadamy.

SOMTHING LIKE A WESTCHESTER COUNTY FIRE CONVENTION!!!!! lots of good ideas comming out on this board today. That would be fun. Have the newest trucks come down too and show off what features they've got.

Sounds like the good old days of the musters at Croton. Two days of flee markett truck demo's old stuff some. Bring it back a good old fashion party for the brothers.
