City Of Poughkeepsie Getting Twin GK Engines

From what I gather, they will be somewhat similar to Newburgh's twin Gowans-Knight engines, which are real nice. Can't wait to see the delivery shots from our members in Poughkeepsie when they come in.

Gowans Knight is pleased and priviledged to have the opportunity to build two new pumpers, identical in every way, for the Poughkeepsie NY Fire Department. Basic specifications include: 2006 Spartan Gladiator chassis, 1500GPM Hale pump, Stainless Steel body and roll-up doors. Pictures below reflect work-in-progress. New photos will be added as work progresses.

First engine is due for delivery in September.It will be replacing the current Engine 1 which is a 1997 E-ONE. The twins will be rescue style pumpers.The second will replace E-4 which is a 1990 E-ONE.
