What were the tones for today?

Anyone know why the tones went off today around I think 6:00pm? I was at the firehouse and our house alerts went off along with Rye,West harrison,Purchase,

Port Chester, Mamaroneck Village and town I believe. For a minute I thought we were in for something major. I feel a little silly but I told all my guy's in the house to gear up and pack up and get ready for directions from 60-control. Reminded me of the time the tanker hit in North white Plains.

Judging it was mostly towns in the lower region maybe they were testing the transmission system for that area...

Tones were most of the Sound Shore, plus some. Testing that had something to do with the MDU.
