Well, EMS Week 06' is here, May 14th-20th 2006.

Happy EMS Week to my fellow EMS providers....

Now, what is your agency or primary recieving hospital doing to commemerate this week?

I saw the the medical center took out a very nice ad in the paper, hopefully that ad will be posted in the EMS room when they give it back to us.

Also, is your agency using this week as a reason to get out there and educate the public about EMS and the service you provide, like FD's do during fire precention week?

Nyack Hospital is doing a BBQ on May 17th and Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern is doing one on May 18th -- also Rockland County has an EMS Dinner on May 24th in Pearl River

Westchester EMS, Stellaris Health and its member hospitals salute all of our employees and all of the Westchester County EMS workers particularly all of the members of the VACs, FDs and PDs who provide EMS here in the northeast corner of the county.

Westchester EMS: HQ - 444 E. Main St. next to Northern Westchester Hospital Center

Tues: BBQ from 3pm - 7pm at our HQ

Thu: All Day BBQ - Breakfast and Lunch at our HQ

CME and Call Audit Starting at 1800 at our HQ

Hudson Valley has free gifts in the ER for EMS providers. If you can't find them, ask someone. Yesterday it was Trauma Shears. I think the stuff may change as the week progresses.

WEMS had the first of two BBQs tonight (stop by Thursday evening for the second one followed by a double call audit). The ribs alone are worth the drive. :angry:
