"It is with a deep sadness that we bring to you news of the death of George Hall, owner of Check Six and Code Red Stock Archives. He also owned George Hall Photography, which has operated out of the San Francisco/Bay Area region for the past 35 years. He died April 20th after open heart surgery."

George was a premier fire photographer, publishing "Working Fire" and "FDNY" from Chronicle and Squarebooks, as well as the "Fire Trucks In Action" calendar series.
