Are car accidents involving teens driving on the rise? Has there been any studies on that? Im just wondering cuz this was touched on in the Sprain Pwky post but im wondering if anyone knows of any study on teen driving and accidents and any stories or anything about this?!?!?!? Please PM or add to this thread.

Take it from one who has intimate knowledge of the subject.....teen accidents and fatalities involving teen drivers are not only increasing....they are disproportionate to the demographic group.

Those are some scary stats! Im in a science reserach class and im looking into teen driving accidents and fatalites as a topic and there are some surprising things that happen with teens and driving. Are there are national study on this???!?!?!?

I'd just like to say that I think some people could misread some of these stats. Yes, it is true that teens may have a high accident rate, but they are also driving more than the other age groups. For example, how many 80 year olds do you see going for a drive around town??? Thus, when you compare hours driven to accidents, I think you may find that the statistics paint a different picture.
