Description Of Incident: YPD recieved reports of a female being beaten and stabbed at 595 Nepperhan Avenue. 4th Pct patrol units on scene advising a hispanic male suspect, observed running from the scene up Lake Avenue towards Orchard and Woodland Avenue. 4th Pct units advised suspect lost in rear of Woodland Ave perimiter set up. Emergency Service Unit officers in foot pursuit. ESU with suspect in woods near Lake Ave stairs with a violent suspect resisting arrest. ESU with suspect in custody and responding to St. Josephs Hospital with an injured suspect. 4th Pct units recovered knife and CIU processing scene. Victim transported to St.Johns E.R. with minor stab wounds and other injuries. One police officer injured and treated at an area hospital.
