Traffic Pre-emption or elimination for this guy

Opticon's have been available for a while. They even have filters that limit the visibly light of the strobe, and only allow the infrared. However they do diminish the effective range.

These are available for sale on the internet on several sites, but in order to actually use it, the traffic lights in your town must have the reciever, which most don't. So it really doesn't do much.

A lot of the towns in CT have them, I think the state installed them on all state roads with traffic signals. I thought there had to be some sort of way to verify your use for it. Guess not...
