FOR THIS AFTERNOON...

THE COMBINATION OF VERY DRY CONDITIONS ALONG WITH SOMEWHAT GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL KEEP THE TRI-STATE REGION UNDER AN ELEVATED THREAT FOR THE SPREAD OF BRUSH FIRES.

SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL PREVAIL THIS AFTERNOON ALONG WITH SOME OCCASIONAL GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM 35 AND 45 PERCENT ACROSS THE INTERIOR WITH 45 TO 55 PERCENT NEARER THE COAST. ALTHOUGH THESE ARE NOT RED FLAG WARNING CRITERIA...

IF A FIRE WERE TO START...THESE CONDITIONS COULD BE CONDUCIVE TO THE SPREAD OF THE FIRE. FOR THAT REASON...LOCAL RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO USE APPROPRIATE CAUTION.

We already had several large brush fires up here. They could have been worse. One took a barn with it and about two acres. Its getting crazy up here.

Im pretty sure just about everyones had a brush fire or two due to this weather already!
