OKLAHOMA CITY --

Gov. Brad Henry has ordered flags on state government property to be flown at half staff Thursday in honor of Destry Horton, a volunteer firefighter who died last Friday of burns suffered March 1 while battling a wildfire near Duncan.

Funeral services for Horton, 32, were set for Thursday afternoon in Chickasha.

"Our brave and heroic firefighters routinely risk personal safety for the sake of their fellow Oklahomans," Henry said. "Destry Horton paid the ultimate price for his selflessness, and for that we honor his sacrifice and cherish his memory."
