L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Pierre Bain, 45, was on his motorcycle on Avenue K near 20th Street East at about 5:50 p.m. Thursday, in pursuit of a vehicle, when Bain's bike clipped a car that cut in front of him to make a left turn, investigators said.
