Time: approx. 1640

Location: 16 Pershing Avenue between Main St. and the Arterial

Frequency: 453.300, 453.650, 453.900, 453.925

Units Operating: City of Poughkeepsie (E-1, E-2, E-4, L-1, TL-2), Fairview 41-12 w/FAST, Arlington w/2nd FAST and Engine to cover, Roosevelt 63-12 (Engine) & 63-45 (Ladder), Highland with 1 Engine

Description Of Incident: Working structure fire, heavy fire, defensive operation

1647hrs - Fairview requesting 10-35-1 manpower tones to the station

1649hrs - Per Car 10, City 911 toned out evacuation order given, everyone ordered out of the building

1650hrs - DC911 transmitting manpower tones and 10-35-1 for Fairview

1651hrs - County Car 12 en route to the City

1654hrs - Fairview committed, laid in and feeding City Engine 1, unable to assist with 2.5" handlines in the rear as City Car 10 requested

1656hrs - Mayday Activation, member was accounted for, mayday canceled

1657hrs - City Car 1 requesting units to switch to Fireground Channel 2

1658hrs - City Car 1 advising PD needed to block off the Westbound Arterial @ Corlies

1659hrs - City 911 transmitting 3rd Alarm to cover stations

1700hrs - County Car 12 on the scene

1701hrs - DC911 dispatched Roosevelt 63-12 (engine) and 63-45 (Ladder) to City HQ, Arlington FD w/ 1 engine to City St. 3

1704hrs - 63-45 responding to Main Street Station

1705hrs - County Car 12 to DC911 advising Westbound Arterial at Pershing Ave. has been closed

1703hrs - Water Dept has been advised to boost pressure

1708hrs - Highland 31-10 relocating to Clover Street Station

1710hrs- Arlington 32-13 relocated to City Station 4

1710hrs - Handline to the rear to knock down fire in shed in the rear, building is almost on the ground, main concern is the Rug Factory Building

1717hrs - Central Hudson on the scene

1719hrs - Roosevelt 63-12 and 63-45 are relocated to Main Street Station

1721hrs - Highland 31-10 relocated to Clover Street Station

It is my understanding that the fire extended to an additional building, not sure to what extent, but anyone with any additional info can PM me and I will add it in.

As of 1830 hours, Ole129K gave me these updates "Main body appears to be knocked down, all covering companies are in, 1 FF treated and RMA'd by Alamo, remaining fire is located in rear of original building and shed"
