Four people were killed on the New York State Thruway in Tuxedo, NY, this morning when a tractor-trailer plowed into a Toyota Siena near Mile Marker 43.

At 7 a.m., state troopers said a minivan stopped in the northbound lanes of the New York State Thruway because of a flat tire and was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Three people died at the scene. Two people were taken by helicopter to local hospitals in serious condition. One later died. Two others suffered minor injuries
