I think they look better without the dump body painted.

Who funds Cortlandt Peekskill Paramedics?
-
How did they get the MV contract?
-
So then whats the deal with E150?
-
Someone please take lots of pictures!

Bradley has several charges pending against him. He needs to resign. Nice to see Dennis Power still has his head up Bradley's behind. Bradley was bad in the Assembly. Great selection, White Plains!

Is DPW not essential? Water, sewer, traffic lights, garbage pickup optional?
-
Seth, You sound really suprised. This IS Paul Feiner that we're talking about. The majority of the fine voting citizens of Greenburgh keep electing him. Blame them.
-
Kind of random, but why the change from "FIRE" on the sides to "FDNY?" I noticed this on the new engines too.

I seem to remember reading that GM was ceasing production of the Medium Duty (C-Series, T-Series) trucks. But there is still a General Motors Medium Duty website. Are they just selling off the excess stock or did they change their plans?

The State Comptroller does the audits, as allowed under State law, of any municipality, school distict or special district (fire, water, sewer, garbage, lighting, ect.) in the state.
-
Nice shots! What department has the tan bunker gear?
-
Seth, CONGRATS! Best of luck to you and the mother-to-be for a healthy pregnancy!
-
Feiner is an idiot. But the people of Greenburgh who keep voting for him are the bigger idiots. These are the same people who think Andy Spano was doing the right thing for the taxpayers of this county.

I was wondering which of the following Marine units in the County are towed to the water and based in the water. (if that makes sense) M2 (Mamaroneck Village) M23 (Peekskill) M36 (Mamaroneck Town) Thanks.

So does Peekskill keep their boat in the water?

Unfortunately, there are other things to worry about other than emergency services. There will never be a county-wide police force (like Suffolk and Nassau), or fire, or EMS. And the "I could really care less about the politics and trips or whatever" is why we are in this situation. No offense intended here, Seth, but you don't live here anymore so you don't have to pay the county property taxes. As someone that does, the "politics," as you put it, do matter. However it's actually policy, not politics.

Ok well, since Astorino, as you said, "didn't fill the positions," he cut his worforce. He could have filled the positions, but he didn't. Cutting by attrition is still cutting. What if he had made his staff bigger? Also, "looking at the big picture" and saying "Spano did do a lot," is a bit, well, ludicrous. There is no reason why he needed to go to China on the taxpayer's dime. The liberals of this county kept putting this idiot back in office until, finally, Spano did himself in by signing the housing settlement. Think about it by looking at the town-by-town map of the results. It was the housing settlement that did it.
-
All the Spano years have brought us to this. He grew the size of county government, which should only provide essential servcies, to something that is out of control. Of course I do not want to see any layoffs. There is plenty else to cut up there at 148 Martine Avenue, and I'm sure a lot could be done by attrition.

The Dolans screw us again!

Not for nothing, but why are some people so quick to praise the job MLSS will do Poughkeepsie? By reading some of these posts, one would think that they have had the contract for years. Now I don't live in Dutchess or have ever had any dealings with them, but mabye we should wait and see how they do with the contract. While it's nice to read that they seem to have a solid reputation, only time will tell how this contract will turn out for MLSS and the city.

Let's hope it's all snow. Could be a real miss if it's not.

Looks great! When is it being delivered?

The Town of Rye consists of the the Village of Port Chester, Village of Rye Brook, and the Rye Neck section of the Village of Mamaroneck. The City of Rye is not in Port Chester, nor is it part of the Town of Rye. Also remember that there is no unincorporated area (area outside the villages) in the Towns of Rye and Pelham, while there is unincorporated area in Mamaroneck Town. In the unincorporated area, the Town is responsible for basic services, such as Police and DPW.

What? Who said anything about impeachment?
