Long response times and I belive some water supply issues up there in Riverdale. I think a Sat company is dispatched on fires west of Broadway in the Bronx.

hello all- I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me: are Eastchester, Pelham Manor, Pelham, Greenville, Hartsdale and Scarsdale dispatched off 33.96? Also, Fairview dispatches in-house, then over 33.96, right? thanks

Haz-Mat, Collapse and Extrication are matters that are to be handled by the FD

Con Edison provides natural gas, which is different from propane. But yes, there are furnaces available which burn propane. Look in the Yellow Pages under "Gas" and then look for propane companies in your area. I think most appliances that burn natural gas can also come in propane models. I'm not sure about converting to propane though... Personally, if you are looking at propane heat, look also at oil...

So you're on the list, have the CFR and 30 credits in order.... First of all, if you are called and you can't/don't want to accept, can you defer or are you just dropped from the list and have to go through everything all over again? Also, since the promotions these days require alot more college credit and some a degree, is it better to just stay in school and finish, or is it possible to be able to take classes and get the degree while a FDNY member? thanks alot all!!!!!!
