Can anyone explain what the numbering scheme is for County PD? Every car I see seems to have different numbers that don't seem to relate.

DOC, Are they staffed by DEP Police? BTW that's a great looking new police building over in Eastview.

The Part-Time guys are fully sworn Police Officers, right? Are there any full time guys who also do it part time? Several Long Island departments hire Part timers.

MTA Police is giving their Police Officer exam on April 5. The filing deadline is February 15. Applications are only accepted online. Go to http://employment.mta.info. I just signed up today.

Does anyone know when the next White Plains and New Rochelle Police exams will be given? I know that WP usually gives it every two years in odd numbered years, so there should have been one this year. Anyone have any info????

JBE. I think the "Sunoco cars" were only used by Troop T in the early 80s. The other troops I think had the current scheme for a while before.

Don't most municipalites have separate days for recycling? Or is this new thing about separating paper from plastic from glass? And will they refuse to pick up just the recyclables, or the regular trash as well?

As long as Andy Spano continues to be re-elected, and the Board of Legislators is controlled by the Dems, the taxes will contuine to increase like this! Same goes for the school district taxes - vote no on the budgets! (Don't believe anything the school boards say: the roof will NOT collapse on the children!)
