There, in fact, is a rig with 5 axles. Of course, I forgot to bring my camera, but I'll head back down in a little bit and grab a shot.
-
Mofire, I'll scout the area tomorrow and see if I can find anything out.

The village had an outside party go through the specs for Engine 80's new engine with a fine tooth comb to ensure that everything that was asked for was appropriate and that there were no frivolous items on the truck.
-
I believe this listing is to replace Engine 80, their specs have been approved by the village. Truck 37 should be put out to bid soon, I believe they are still looking at manufacturers though.

Anesti, as far as I know, the Tarrytown FD will not be hosting a parade this year. If I hear otherwise, I'll will let you know.

Is there any thing that law enforcement can do to keep groups like this out of our emergency scenes? It is understandable to want to form an organization that will help your community in emergency situation i.e. C.E.R.T., which is becoming widely popular. However, to go out and have an apparatus to respond on which is most likely not well equiped and have members that most likely have minimal training at best, is plain dangerous and idiotic. Go through the proper channels if you want to respond on alarms. Get set up with your county control, get manpower trained, ensure that you have enough manpower at all times, ensure you have the proper equipment, and set up a chain of command. There's obviously much more to that list, just some of the things that came to mind.

Let me guess ladder issues?

Thanks to all involved! Great shots. Really enjoy seeing the shots of the unique apparatus that I never knew the FDNY used, like the Sutphen towers and the rear mount ALF/LTI towers.

But the calls haven't been.

Stations Day was held today at the Connecticut State Police Academy and it was a great turnout. There were over 350 Police Explorers who participated in events today. Westchester was represented by posts from Westchester County PD, Greenburgh PD, Mt. Pleasant PD, and New Rochelle PD. SageVigiles and myself will post pictures when time becomes available. Hats off to Sage for taking home some hardware.

I would say that looks like a car into a rock. A very large rock, but a rock nonetheless. Just kidding brother.
-
I'll be there for my last Stations Day. Turning 21 in June. Hopefully I can get some good shots up, and some hardware to take home. See ya there Sage.

Thank you Seth! And thank you Truck 4 for helping update it when I couldn't.

Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Elmsford, and Valhalla all have horn systems. On a clear day, I can hear horn systems from across the river.
