  4. not to seem offensive or anything, "oh" is a word, "o" is a letter.
  5. Thats right, the fishing competition was this weekend. But i still heard someone messing around early in the week if not the week before.
  6. Yea, i've heard heard them on more than one occasion. Heard them on Friday night(4/15) and a few days before then. I think i heard them on the Tarrytown PD freq though.
  7. Tarrytown has at least one paid EMT on day shifts. Some days there is one paid and at least one volunteer, others there are two paid EMTs and no volunteers. I dont know what percentage of calls they make, but i'm pretty sure they make all first calls and most second calls. if they cant make the second call, m/a is called.

  11. Maybe SHAC7301 can comment on this. I believe that SHAC has 2. A Chevy Surburban and a Ford Crown Vic. I dont know what is in the Crown Vic, but I believe that the suburban has O2, a folding backboard, and i dont know what else. I believe that the "on-duty" EMT gets to use them. Again, I believe SHAC7301 can better comment on this.

  13. I dont know if this is true or not, but i heard that someone was going to donate a large chunk of light to the FD for a fire house, but the only reason why it didnt happen was b/c E-77 members didnt want to be stationed w/E-78 members. Guys, ur all here to do the same thing. Cant we all just get along? ](*,)
  14. Good for them!!! =D> =D> =D> Keep up the good work!
  15. Unmarked cars - This will be nice. One of the cars that i know about doesnt even need a key to start it. All you have to do is turn the ignition. Dr. Zuki - GPD does have several undercover vehicles other than typical Crown Vics(unmarked) or other standard police cars(unmarked). Since the Street Crime Unit does use these vehicles on a normal basis, I don feel like i should say what kind of vehicles they use. I dont know whether or not they came from forfeits or seizures, but they do have them. x635 - I too would love to see some marked slicktops. I think they will look sick. but, the unmarked patrol cars they have now are pretty sick too. Hopefully they'll turn one of the old flycars into the Community Policing Unit truck (1994 Surburban, approx 200,000 miles).
  16. Here is a question for you guys who are members of an FD and a VAC, do you have a blue light and a green light, or do you use the same light when responding to fire and ems calls? I know people who have green and blue lights, use blue for fire and ems, use green for fire and ems, or have a dual strobe (1 lens green, 1 lens blue)
  17. 290.3 - Damn Mike, how did u get a 301.4? As "Snowman" from Smokey and the Bandit once said, "What's she wearin' now?"
  18. Sorry, Engine 80. Thanks alot by the way!
  19. I don't know what it is exaxctly, but Greenburgh converted one of their old rigs to a HazMat unit. Instead of saying ambulance, it says "HAZMAT/DECON UNIT" on it. In the room, that we have our meetings in, they have a bunch of those hidious green boots and a bunch of SCBA Masks, and a fit test machine.
  20. Stay Safe!! Thanks for everything!!
  21. Probably, I know Tarrytown has an old unit that they changed the filters to yellow and use as a parking enforcement vehicle. It still has all the graphics, but they took "Police" off the side and it say parking enforcement. It still has red flashers though. The Greenburgh Auxilary Police have a ford crown vic that used to be the paramedic supervisors car. It has red lights and say "Greenburgh Aux. Police" on the side.
  22. I personally, being 16, wouldnt want to drive the rig at 16. If i absolutely had to, i still dont think i would b/c i'm not going to be responsible for the lives of the people in the back. If anything happened to them, i dont think i could live w/myself. If where he is from is confident with and he is confident w/himself, i guess its ok, but i still think that it is a stupid idea.
  23. Last summer, when my family and I went to Atlantic City the had reruns of Hawaii 5-0 followed by Emergency! on during the afternoon. Since my dad and i arent beach people, we watched em. Oh, one of the guys at TVAC found a company that has episodes of Emergency! on video. I'll see if i can find out what company it was.
