I think Tarrytown FD will be playing Tarrytown PD, but I'm not sure.

Its all right Jonesy, Im Here with you. I think the Mets have a good shot, but they just have to keep going strong.

"Don't quote me on this, but I think Greenburgh PD has a collapse rescue unit associated with the technical rescue team. Perhaps someone could confirm this for me." GPD's TRT does have collapse operations capability. The team consists of GPD Officers, Paramedics, and Fairview FF's. Hartsdale and Greenville might have members, but I'm not sure.

Can you explain a "soft car"?

On a recent patch hunt in the Bronx, I was going to Eng.75, Lad.33, Bat.19 at 2283 Jerome Ave., but there were no trucks there, just EMS rigs. The sign on the building said EMS Station 19. Anyone know where the new station is? I got the above address off of nycfire.net P.S. I know I'm a buff and have no live.

Last night, I had to take my CPR/AED cert. According to the instructor, new compression rates of 30-to-2 will be implemented. He said AHA will be starting this within the next two months and Red Cross isnt to far behind. The only thing that seemed wierd to be is that you have to speed up your compressions to complete the 30 compressions in the same time frame as if you were doing the 15 compressions. Any one heard, seen, or want to comment on this? Thanks

Which movie do you like better? Backdraft or Ladder 49 I've never seen Ladder 49, but I don't think it could be better than Backdraft

If you're looking for a good handheld scanner, RadioShack's Pro-96 is pretty good. It is digital trunking capable. I have tried picking up trunked systems yet, but I have no complaints about any other parts of it. It also has self-downloaded frequencies in it, nothing from around here, just about every NYPD frequency there is.

TL 78 is now in service as of 12/29, I believe. They are located in a temporary house with heating on the Hitachi property on Martling Ave. I believe the plans for the new house is on 119. It looks pretty sick running with all lights on. The shirts are black with a picture of the rig on the back saying TOWER 78 LADDER Wetdown Saturday November 19, 2005

Lefteris Gyro on the corner of Rt 9 and Main St in Tarrytown have some pretty good soups. I love their split pea. I just dont know if they make the soup themselves.

Definately have to go with Main St Sweets in Tarrytown since I work there. All of our ice cream is homemade and pretty delicious. My favorite is Main St Special - coffee ice cream with fudge and chocolate chunks. Good Morning Sunshine was good, but we dont make it any more - Waffle flavored ice cream with maple syrup and blueberries or strawberries.

I also forgot to say that you can only get a certain number of points per category. Ex. 20 pts max on duty, 25 pts max calls
-
Tarrytown VAC uses LOSAP. Since I'm not 18 yet, I'm not covered by it and therefore don't know too much about it. I know that you need 50 points by the end of the year to be covered for that year. You can get 1/2 a point for calls, 1 point for meetings/training, I think 1/6 of a point for every hour that you are on duty, x amount of points for being an officer, etc. I hope this may help you and feel free to contact me for any other info.

I was in 8th grade at Sleepy Hollow Middle School. I was in second period, English. They gave us a brief announcement and then in third period, social studies, they gave us a more in depth announcement. As the day progressed they continued to inform us as to what was going on and possible rumors like Disneyland was being attacked. All Gave Some-Some Gave All 9/11/01

As far as I know, that temporary structure has yet to be built.

DFFD, i never meant it to seem like it was only GPD who is out there on the river. I'm sorry if i made it seem that way. Truckie Buff, like i said that was what i heard. I heard that it was at some kind of conference or something like that. Just the way i heard the boat was ex-USCG. Thanks for the corrections and info guys!! =D>

I heard that Greenburgh found out by accident that they are responsible for the river. The boat was donated by the US Coast Guard. Stiloski's Towing repainted it from the Coast Guard colors to its current blue paint scheme. Westchester Co PD does have a boat, but I believe it is sitting on a trailer @WCPD HQ in Hawthorne. I believe it used to be docked in Tarrytown but it no longer is b/c WCPD doesn't have the manpower to staff for regular patrols. Anyone feel free to rip that apart b/c i'm not sure how much of that is totally factual.
