The back of any police car is tight. I'm 6'2" and have been in the back of a Crown Vic and that was tight to say the least. I ended putting my legs across the backseat to be comfortable.

I have one for my i730. I bought mine at Goldberg Hardware in Tarrytown. It's a great case, holds to your belt a lot better than the NEXTEL clips.

When I first moved to Tarrytown, I did see that engine every once in a while. It was a Ford painted NYS Yellow w/the blue thruway seal on the door, obvioulsy equipped with red lights and sirens.

So how was it?

I know an not a moderator and you can delete this post if you would like, but it wasnt the get along like brothers comment that caused the thread to be locked, it was people making negative comments about the fire service.

I must say that the movie was well written and didn't really step away from what really happened. Definately worth watching when, and if you, are ready.

There is a picture of the rear of a truck. It's about 2 or 3 pictures after the Spotted Dog truck. It looks like the hose bed was removed and made into a bench area for people to sit in. It also looks like the canopy was raised. Is/Was this truck a tourist attraction/ride? Anybody know about this truck? Thanks guys!

Sorry jloftus, I understand your problem, but can you make a listing of each ladder if its in service or oos, maybe the problem. whatever you can. I'm a little confused with whats wrong with which truck and where it is.

My company got a new saw. I thought it was a K-12 saw, but I was told that it is a Partner saw. Are the two different, or is it just the brand name? Thanks

Thanks for the info guys

Tarrytown FD has a new chiefs car. However, I have yet to see as I'm away at college. I can never manage to see when I go home, hopefully, when I come home at the end of the week, I'll get to see it.

I guess that would be to transmit on the system. I just put the frequencies into the scanner, hit enter, and I am monitoring the frequency. My scanner also has dual trunking capabilities.

Couldn't find them on google or the MTA website.

I'm almost positive that the MTA Police Highway Patrol units have those light bars.

Why did Chevy change the design of the Impala's? It seems that they were made smaller and less efficient for law enforcement use. Is that why they are going to lengthen it?

Yes, Empress in Yonkers' paid ambulance service. Empress EMS is still running today. But I couldn't tell you as to where the name came from or what it means.
-
Anybody know what that control panel is on the rear? Its located towards the bottom of the truck, centered between the turn signals.
-
But they can buy/steal a digital scanner and it really wouldn't make a difference. I have a digital scanner.

I dont have much experience yet either, but I try to make as many alarms as I can, whether it is for my company or not (depends on your depts sog/p's though I guess) and I try to make as many dept drills as I can. Hopefully I can take an FF1 class in the spring or summer.
