  1. Well I didnt want to say his name because I didnt know how he would feel about it, but a big thanks to FF C. Allen of Conqueror H&L, the site is awesome.
  2. I'll be taking it for the first time.
  3. I guess all of the law enforcement officers who protected them in this video should be protestested because they are also "fag-enablers" since they also protect the people they protest. Here's a video of their ideology. I am not looking to offend anyone, but I do not agree with this at all.
  4. Nice pics, couldn't help but notice, are those train horns on top of the old Rescue 3?
  5. I know they are trained at least at the First Aid/CPR level, at least for the company that my friend worked for. HELP trucks are actually owned and operated by private contractors. For example, Stilowski's Towing owns a number of trucks. The operators of those vehicles are hired and paid by Stilowski's Towing. I also believe that some, if not all, HELP trucks are dispatched by the TMC in Hawthorne. If anyone knows more or sees something that needs to be corrected, feel free.
  6. Tarrytown: Best Engine over 10 years old 2nd Best Color Guard Ossining won several, the only one I know for sure was Best Color Guard. Good job to all the guys in the Color Guard, you did a great job.
  7. Remember, the red button is NOT the power button, its the emergency button. Like Tommy Lee Jones says: "Don't touch the red button!"
  8. I was in 8th grade at Sleepy Hollow MS, in english when the planes hit and social studies when they collapsed. A teacher came in and whispered something to my teacher, and her face went blank. A few minutes later, she told us that a plane hit the Twin Towers. I remember thinking that you don't accidently hit a huge building like that. Throughout the day, our principal tried to keep us updated on the PA with what was going on. I remember hearing the Sleepy Hollow fire horns going off. It wasn't until I got home that I got to see a TV and see the images of what was going on. I remember wanting to help out so bad, but there was obviously nothing I could do since I was only 13. It;s been 6 years, and I still remember the day clearly. RIP FDNY 343 NYPD 23 PAPD 37

  13. Anybody out there now of any good tattoo shops in the Westchester or New Haven, CT area? Looking to get one and tring to find a good place. Any recommendations?
  14. I find it hard to believe that Chief Warren didn't realize that no paramedic was present. SHAC is a great agency with a great group of volunteers who dedicate countless hours to their community, pretty sure he's met them quite a few times and knows that they aren't medics. Also years ago, SHPD, under Chief Warren, has several of their PO's certified as EMT-B's in order to assist SHAC in their difficult years. I would think that he knows that SHAC is a BLS agency. Guys, stay strong.
  15. I have a general idea, something to pay tribute to 9/11/01. Guys, thanks for all the help.
  16. thanx 859... "Uh 863 to precinct, i've got a suspicious package." how things in the val? ill ttys. Thanx guys! I really appreciate all the help.
  17. note taken Ole129k, thanx... i'll try to avoid any hole in the wall shops especially on A1A in Daytona Beach
  18. If any has any pictures of Tarrytown TL-78 operating at the Hackley School fire, please contact me at andrew.wilgermein@quinnipiac.edu. This was our first fire with this truck and would like to make a display for our new firehouse. Thank you very much.
  19. Will each department maintain there primary frequency for routine radio traffic and use this as a town wide frequency when there is a major incident? From what I've understood, Greenburgh PD and all of the Village PD's used to operate on the same frequency and began using their own frequencies because there was too much radio traffic. Any one have any light to shed on the subject.
  20. Where were those taken?
  21. Congratulations to SHAC and all of it's members. You guys have really made great improvements over the years. Keep up the good work. On a side note, congratulations to Tarrytown VAC and all of its members for 40 years of service as well.
  22. RC, you hit the nail on the head. It doesnt matter what it looks like, underage drinkers will drink whatever they can get their hands on... even grain alcohol, I've seen people to it.
  23. Reportedly, the firehouse will be completed sometime later this year. somewhere around the fall or winter. The new quarters of E-77 is being built down the road on Meadow St. Both seem to be progressing nicely.
  24. Can any of the Yonkers guys explain to me Engine 299, a Mack CF. I saw it the FTC today. I'm guessing that it is the engine that is used for training so front line pieces don't have to be taken OOS. I also noticed that there didn't appear to be any hose in the hose bed. I'll try to get a pic of it if I see it again. Thanx
  25. Does that mean that after a few months the designations of E-297/8/9, L-67/8 won't exist until further down the road, or will the be replaced by other apparatus?
