Rosenbauer also brought the Timberwolf, their Urban Interface Pumper with a PTO driven Rosenbauer 1000 gpm pump, 750 gallons of water capable of pump and roll.
-
Also there for demonstration was the Safe Scene pumper with side mounted pump operator platform. 1250 gpm PTO driven Rosenbauer pump, 750 gallons of water, with a 150 foot booster line in front bumper. It is capable of pump and roll utilizing the front turret.

First up is the 101' Cobra Platform with 1500 gpm pump, 500 gallon water tank, and 30 gallon foam tank, and LED rung lighting.

I did not attensd the show, but did have the chance to see the Rosenbauer demos at HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College) Saturday evening. Only a hand full of people showed up. The reps had trays of food which he offered to us. I will post some photos later on o fthe tower ladder, engine, and oversize brush tuck. I was surprised to see them pushing the foam concept with what looked to be booster lines.

Somethings got to change. On the PD side we have begun to notice longer response times for EMS. Not to say they aren't busy but, for example today I arrived on my post(west 50th and broadway) at 1400. The sector car was there from 1340 hrs with a woman 24, 4 months pregnant who slipped and fell complaining of pain to her lower back, wrist and elbow. The sector had to go back in service, and I made requests for EMS at 1406, 1428, and again at 1445 when she began to experience abdominal cramping and pain. The last request I put out as a priorty. for the cramping /pain in the abdomin. The ambulance finally got there at 1505 hrs. He fiance came from Long Island City, and got there the same time as the bus. EMS got the job as person fell at location, not mention of the update in condition. Recently we also waited and hour and fourty minutes for a man who fell into the subway tracks suffered a large laceration on his head, and the climbed back up to the subway platform . We also hear these nonsense jobs over our radios, such as a building collapse into the subway ( small piece of concrete fell from a subway ceiling) with no disruption of subway service being reported. Things worked fine before, not sure why they had to change it, might be the 9/11 Commission nonsense that said NYC needed to have a radio system that we all could talk on together at one time.

JBE wrote Ah yes the piece of crap known as SPRINT, a 30 year old CAD program that you need a fricken guide to decipher, it runs on DOS baseed program I beleive. Former Transit Police learned all about this gigantic turd last year when they Shut off the old Transit CAD system. Higher ups promised us that having one system would reduce delays to high priority jobs such as 85s and 13s. What a load of crap. Still takes almost 10 minutes at times to get the info over the radio from street to transit, and vice versa. It took several months to get back info such as token booth locations/phone numbers, and emergency exit locations on the street. Under CAD each job got a Control Number, the CN(such 12345) in numerical order starting at 0001 on January 1. Any one with access to computer system could pull it up, and get all the info on the job just with that CN. Now with SPRINT, you need a separate Password to get in, you need the SPRINT number (a letter based on the day followed by a number such aas F12345, which resets every day at 0001 hours) Now to get any info you need the date of the incident, and need to know a lot of commands to decipher the info. I know when I sat with the 911 dispatchers for a few hours, most seemed pretty smart. The actual police dipatchers when dumb as rocks. On the midnights we would catch them sleeping or disregarding the radio on a regular basis. All this so Bloomdouche looks like he is saving money, so the public can elect him to a third turd, I mean term. He does not care about PD/Fire/EMS, we are all pieces of caca to him. Just look at how long Scoppetta and Kelly have been in their positions, morale has been on the decline for years on the PD side, but no change in site.

Congrats on the save. My first time I don't remember all of the details, but I was riding as a trainee. GAW6 was most likely the EMT. All in all I think I am 0 for 23 for CPR. Never really bothered me actually doing the CPR, but I never did get used to the feeling of ribs breaking underneath my hands on the older patients. The younger ones were a bit harder to deal with, but over time I learned to deal with better.

It was up at Nichols Oxygen Service/Nichols Fire Service on Route 9G in Hyde Park last week. Nichols is an E-One dealer/service center.

No, they are not. It was sent there to be evaluated for possible repairs, but in the end Pleasantville decided it would cost too much, and are in the process of developing a replacement. Check in the Westchester Forum , in the "Status of TL5" thread. Last I heard, is they are studying all the options, and different manufacturers.

With all the idling and slow sppeds, not sure how much of savings we will see. Add increased maintenance costs when break them, and yes we will break them, I not sure what we will save. But at least we will look good to the tree hugging liberals.

Seagrave is located in Clintonville, Wisconsin. Looks like any other Aerialscope, although I personally do not like the wiring harness along the officer's side of the boom, jujst above the waterway, with the stainless steel covers. Hopefully it serves them well.

That sounds about right. Gamewell system was cut when Pleasantville switched to dispatching by 60 Control, as the 'loop' through town from Headquarters on Washington Avenue up to Hays Hose in the Old Village was in poor shape. Each of the 3 schools was also on the wire, and had their own set on rounds when the horn blew for an alarm.

Patterson still has a few kicking around. I refuse to give mine up. At this point I think they are slowly being canablized , mostly for battery doors and cases (since the belt clip is part of the case.)

Trying to get the day off from work. I went to the first Muster they held, and it was great.

Yeah this is great, a system developed to fight large brush fires in California has so much to do with law enforcement in New York City. What a waste of time and money to send all of us throufg this crap, Again. and Again, and Again. Don't worry Obama payin.

As mentioned, the pick up truck was attempting to cross Metro North tracks south of the train station, near Patterson Recreation Center. The truck was leaving the swamp area when it struck the northbound train. The 3 occupants fled the vehicle, 1 returned to the scene, 1 was found at his residence, and the last one was still at large. No injuries reported on the train. Both individuals that were found were transported to local hospitals. The crossing is considered a private crossing, and is not equipped with warning devices. Here are a few photos I got:

Found behind a radio station up in Greenpoint, NY. Just south of Hudson, NY on route 9G. I got no info on, no one was around to ask permission. their website, http://www.985litefm.com/main.html has a few pictures of it, but no info either.

One is hard enough, but I can't imagine dealing with four. My condolences to all the families involved.
