Looking good Seth. Similar program to what Firepics.net is using? I am on my mobile device (Crackberry) and when I first logged in it took me to the oldest post/first page. Now it brings me to the first unread post within the thread. I also can see the quote boxes. So I guess that means everything is working the way it should. Firepics.net had a lot of the sane issues when it switched to its new system. Once any bugs are worked out I'm sure everyone will love it. Keep up the great work.

Gotta love those old Macks. Looking forward to seeing the completed restoration

IIRC the Wappingers incident the hose ended up on top of a vehicle after it was charged, it was not placed there intentionally. As for the picture, it looks like someone had a bad day and took it out on the illegally parked car. I don't think I would have taken the time to place the hose through both windows as shown, but I definitely would not be careful with the coupling as I ran around the car and dragged the hose over/around the car in my hurry to 'hit the hydrant'. Hopefully the car was ticketed and towed after the incident. TCD0415, I recall backing the tanker up to a car (to be used for training) at the firehouse and operating the rear dump chute, it just happened to be the right height to extend into the car, and filling it with water.

I just called. When asked why I was calling, I stated " to protest your..." . The secretary transferred me to the principal's voice mail. I left a polite message that this decision shows no common sense, and what was next taking away the plastic knives in the cafeteria, or perhaps locking up any tools in the shop program, if they have one. I also pointed out, the student did not have possession of the knife until directed by the school staff to retrieve it from his vehicle.

I think if we waited for GK it would have been at least 6 months to a year wait to start construction.

It depends on what was put in the specs. I know for Patterson's rescue (also an SVI, written by East West) we had a delivery deadline that Gowans Knight could not meet.

Here is a photo I got of it at PLeasantville's parade this year. Listed as a 1902 Seagrave, for the Daniel P Hays Hose Company of the Pleasantville FD. PLeasantville also has a 189? Howe hand pumper that is stored in the lobby of its HQ. I do not have a photo of that one. Anyway here is the hose cart

Rest in peace FF Joyce. Here to a quick and complete recovery for the other two firefighters that were injured in this horrible incident.

Hopefully the perps got some wood shampoo and are now wearing party hats

There is no need for a FF to be on the the tip...is the dept there to poor to buy some rope? I know when I joined my first FD we had a 1949 American Lafrance with a 65' ladder. One the first things I was shown was how to manually set the outriggers, attach the ladder pipe to the fly while in the bed, stretched and attach a 3 inch hose from the pipe to the turntable, and then attach a halyard to the pipe. That way in could be operated from the ground, and could be directed in conjunction with the operator on the turntable and other spotters on the fireground. It's not about being a "Safety Sally" but going home in one piece. Why take the unnecesary risk. PS who uses a 4 inch line to feed a ladder pipe?

With the Eighth anniversary of 9/11/01 having just passed I am asking for your opinion on this question, should I post photos taken at Ground Zero here on EMTBravo? I took the photos on 9/15/01 and 9/16/01 after working and then going down to the pile to dig on my own time. The photos were taken with disposable cameras and developed at Shoprite. I rarely look at them, but I did recently notice the pictures are starting to become gray/fade. The pictures are mostly of the devastation on the area and some of destroyed/damaged apparatus. I am going to scan them into my computer to save them and thought about posting them here. What is everyones's opinion on the subject? The earliest I would be able to post them would be in a week or two.

Thanks for the tip. I will have to check and see if all the negatives are still in the album. More than likely the negatives are missing.

Here are some photos I got of the Pawling parade on Friday night. Some are a little dark, I got there a little late, and was trying to stay out the way of the judges and the reviewing stand. Add in some discomfort, stomach pain and nausea from my recent gall bladder removal did not add up to the best photos, but here we go. First up Dutchess County Sherrifs
