I personally have used both black and tan and it all comes down to when your in a fire, it doesnt matter what color you are wearing, it is still hot. I like the black with either orange or yellow trip. trim. Our ladder company wears the orange trim and its kinda sharp looking.

My company just recieved morning pride from a rep through Firematic. They deal with all Carins and Fire Dex as well. They also have just about anything needed under the sun including Pierce Fire Apparatus.

In Mount Kisco, we still have our old school horn and it goes off all the time. In the days before we swithced to 60 Control and the cops still dispatched we could tell what side of town, the call and the nature such as residential of comercial alarm. Now we have a 3 call which is a minor alarm and a 5 call for full dept. responce. The horn helps when you dont have your pager. I personally like Bedford Hills Siren though.

Rescue 31 is going to be a sweet rig. I have seen many different pictures and it is impressive. The truck commitee did a awesome job specing out this truck =D> and I am sure that it will fit in the fire house. many, many mesurements have been taken.

I personally think that the surburban is the way to go, and as mike says the liftgate is a much better set up. #1 it gives the chief an awning from the rain/snow and when it is open it is out of the way. Personally i like white chief cars but I am also a fan of the way that BHFD's cars are painted. The burban would again be key if they could have a duramax motor because the cars idle for a while and it would be a good solution. I think one of the best chief cars that I have seen though was Mt. Kisco FD's black chevy Blazer. I spent a lot of time in this car because it was my fathers when he was assistant chief. The color was very unique. The problem with that though was that it was extreamly tight, but in the long run it did the job!

That car deffinately takes the old school crown vic and kicks it up a knoch

I believe it depends on the code. For example, codes like 10-17 and 10-19 are fairly simple and should be used, but sometimes it just gets out of control and that is when it is hard to understand to some. So I guess what Im trying to say is keep it simple!!

Im quite a fan of the old school Macks, such as Eng. 104

I cant wait till the Springfeild, Ma show in June I think. Its far off from now but it is a good show to start to think about.
-
This show seemed to be geared more twards the EMS part. I did walk away with a scanner for the ambulance corps though.
-
To tell ya the truth i was really not a fan of the show. It was good but it didnt really have anything that I was looking for. And the booths that did have what i wanted were entirely over priced

It would be cool to see that
