I've heard that there are differences between Ladder Towers and Tower Ladders. Was wondering If this is true.

2 problems I have with this. 1: as a student athlete I NEVER had a good nights sleep. Especially when I had homework on the weekends or week nights. There was nights where I was in bed by 1am. 2: should work with the school and make rules. If your department tones out more then 2x for the same call then the students should be able to go and be excused with a note from the chief with a call number and to ask the chief if the student was on the call. Final food for thought, you as a department can not mess with someone's service award points. It's against the law!!!

If I didn't care I wouldn't have posted the question. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my questions. Y'all have a good day

FAS teams should be there for the entire incident. As long as there is interior work being done they should be there. Heck even for exterior work. You never know when or what will happen. It's always better to be safe then sorry.

Nice looking truck. Would be nice to see one around here

Thanks guys for your answers. So now I ask this question: why does Westchester call all ladder towers, tower ladders?? Clearly here we have both types. If it's been LT 1 for years why was it changed to TL 1??

No different then having a blessing of the truck. It's only words. And strong words at that.

Here in the Tri-village there has been 2 deaths from this killer. Through my years of EMS I have seen my fair share of this killing many. Been on a ton of calls were the kids have been brought back and those that have not. So my question to you all. How would you address your high school population with the recent deaths? Do you scare them with horror stories? Do you bring in a guest speaker who has battled addiction? Or do you just let this be? This has been killing me for about a few hours now. Any and all answers would greatly be appreciated!! Stay safe all

There has got to be a way that us as EMS first responders, police officers can do. just seems to be the low point on everyones check list. all the politicians are caught up in the gun control effort and not the real problem.

A lot of guys agreeing with good old PITA FFEMT150. Well ok I do as well only because I would have to hear him complain in person how I didn't. driving him nuts is how I roll. I guess being family has it's ups and downs. I know for one I'm a big person on the QTIP scale. That's just the way I am. I get over it. Just takes me a few days. Stay safe all Ken

Seth a few of the manufactures are now doing crash testing on on the rigs they put out. Demers, Braun, and Lifeline do extensive testing. Trying to make not only the boxes safer but making the pt and crew safe as well.

So glad they found Echo! Conformation was done by microchip. Guiding eyes is working on a system to locate these dogs in case something like this does happen. I believe it will be implanted in the harness system that the dogs wear when the children are attached to them.
