Hey all its that time of the year, Cortlandt Engine Company will be holding its annual bazaar. Starts tomorrow night and ends on Saturday. Saturday is also the Firemens parade which starts at 6pm. Line up is on Bannon Ave. Parade goes down Kings Ferry Rd to Albany Post Rd and Ends on Montrose Station Rd next to the firehouse. Come support Cortlandt Engine and Montrose Fire. Empress covers Pelham/Pelham Manor both ALS and BLS. New Rochelle is covered by Transcare, I believe Mamaroneck has their own ambulance corp. not 100% sure though.

I guess it would all depend on the area. Some parts in the Town of Cortlandt are gravity fed. highest pressure at its lowest point is 230psi. takes about 3 people to open that hyrdant. The Town of Cortlandt usually has good pressure in some parts.

When you dont have dispatchers who are EMD you should not be responding lights and sirens to any call. If a true emergency the facility should have called 911. When I worked there management promised us the world. In return we got nothing but sleepless nights and migrains. With the treatment I reviced after during my last week made me really upset to see that somepeople had no choice but to stay there. The road staff at Care1 is good. I still have some good friends who work there. and alot of ex-partners I see every now and then.

Your correct seth. There has to be another way. If some of you remember there was an incident in Buchanan some years ago when a worker was run over by a garbage truck not sure if he fell off the back or what not. Maybe BFD1054 can chime in with that.

Who really cares what sex someone is? If that person can do the job they all better keep back and stay quiet. Then again "fire house politics" always says someone can do the job better.

Hey all just wanted to let you all know about an even that I am holding in August. I am calling it "Ride For A Warrior" to support the Wounded Warrior Project. It cames prior to a situation that happened earlier this year with the passing of a good friend. I am still working out some details like where we will stop and where we will start from. The event is open for all cars/ trucks/ SUV's and Motorcycles. $20 for cars/trucks/SUV's and $10 for motorcycles. all pertcipents will recive a T-shirt and a window decal as a thank you for perticpation. Your scaring me capt. But 100 percent correct. If you don't have the proper tools to do the job right then find someone who does. You wouldn't want your mechanic working on your car with a sledge hammer and screw driver would you? I sure don't.

Its not everyday you see some putting out a fire in drag...while proper ppe should always be worn. These guys are lucky that nothing major happened. As for the fool in the armonk video if he has an issue with the response of the fire department he needs to speak to the proper people, and focus his concerns to them. Cameras are everywhere! The other day I was on a call and was being video taped by the pts neighbor. Be careful stay safe
