irish and remember I agree with you both women can be great firefighters. i had the chance to work with some yesterday at a live training excersize at DCFTC, and let me tell you they have intentions as all of us males, to save people!!! if there are departments that are preaching tradition its time for tradtion to change!! P.S.- Great drill yesterday remember we need to do it again sometime!!!

update from the NHRA: Mr. Force is out of surgery and is doing well. doctor's reset is broken ankle and determind that he only had a severly dislocated wrist. (NHRA website the first link on this post)

I was driving home from work today on Rt. 9 and saw a interceptor with a full whelen LED light package with a truck pulled over. I thought it was a new SP car when I passed it it was marked New York State Commerical Police. Can any one give me anymore information on this. I thought it was pretty awsome. I am also wondering where they are out of. Thanks everyone

I was in Peekskill near the Main St. Exit.

this kind of sounds a little familiar to me when a student went missing in VA about 2 weeks ago. Again they were searching for the victum and didn't find anything. Fortunetly he wasn't seriously injured.

their dispatch is kinda like LMFD, 60 control dispatches if they get the call then they dispatch and man the radio so control doesn't have too. (I hope I'm kinda right, I've been hearing the samething.) If something is missing please fill in for me. Thanks.

Oswego, No it wasn't DEC I know what DEC cars look like this car was black with gold and red lettering. It had one of the local container trucks pulled over. Chris, Duct tape?? weird!!! you guys make me laugh, yall are the best. You too Oswego.

Remember why dont you try setting something up with one of your neighboring departments? You have a highschool and alot of highway in your district. I know we are going to try and set up a tri-village drill at the local HS and I think they were going to ask for your department to come down and give us a hand. (not sure don't quote me on that) we did a walk through of the HS over the summer and found somethings that are major hazards and we want everyone that is going to be opperating there to know what to expect. Yall know, I would like to know some more on them, I see them all the time on the Palasides parkway when I am on my way to work. They have some pretty awsome lights on those trucks, I passed one this morning with all LED's and an LED traffic arrow. I thought I was pretty cool.

I thought I saw it at the County Center on Sunday, Fairview had U-7 and the trailer out front and I thought I saw it with them there.
