the dentist that owns the one engine lives in montrose. still in great shape and garage kept. the one that was at the car show today is owned by one of the members of peekskill fd. cant think of his name right now. nice guy and another garage kept engine.

... Well its good to are peekskill Vac is getting a new fly car. When I was a member they where looking into it. Which was about 2 years ago. They have talked about keeping the old fly car and putting green lenses on the light bar and what not to make it a "utility". As for the Vac giving it to the fd. I don't think that will ever happen. Even tho they do work very close together. Fdva356 don't you run a BLS engine to the vets home???

It all depends. the high school does have the trainer in the building at the time of the wrestling match; also i have seen ambulances at baseball games when i was playing ball.

hell, there is an old gas station in montrose with what the prices where in 04-06. the prices are 2.45 for regular. 2.50 for plus and 2.59 for super

Here in cortlandt When we take a rig to a football game the rig is in service. usually its the second or third due rig. so if a call does come in and does not get covered we can respond with a full crew. there is also usually a DR or and emt/off duty paramedic and the trainer at the games as well.

I would like to take this time to thank the members of Armonk FD. I had a chance today to take a tour of the new fire house that they built. Wonderful building well sutited for their operations. Also had the time to take Cortlandt VAC's 88b2 up to them to check out. I can't say it enough, Thank you again and stay safe!

40 cents a mile...not bad. But I think I will just take the 200.00 for giving to the community for my tax reimbursement. I mean 40 cents a mule is not bad I make a good amount of calls over 100 for the Vac and about 56 for the fd. I live a few miles from the fire house and go straight to the scene (when I have a car). I agree with you NYmedic but in an article I read volunteer applications have decreased greatly from 1990 to 2008. So its kind of like an insentive to get the numbers back up to where they should be.

Can't miss the building chief its a small white garage with a big verplanck sign on the front and a shamrock above the door. Did the only red truck in the point come back yet? Or is it gone for good?
