It is with deep regret that Montrose FD/Cortlandt Engine company announces the passing of ex chief/ commissioner and life member Frank O'Connor. Frank was known by many people and very well liked. He will greatly be missed. God bless you frank. RIP

Services for ex chief O'Connor are Friday 2-4, 7-9 department services will be from 7-9. He is being buried Saturday morning services starting at 10am. He is being waked a carters funeral home in montrose. I forgot to add that frank is also a charter member of the Cortlandt volunteer ambulance Corp.

thanks mike, as for the platoon..always great to see u guys at the parades considering u are our neighbors. we work very close at trivillage calls and even with trainings. its always a pleasure to work with the guys and gals of buchanan (and verplanck as well) as for the "hijacking" of the post i guess poop happens. but i should of known it was gonna happen..it does every year wether i post about it or someone else does...there are alot of good points that have been brought up in this board, and all of which i have read and commented on. but as i said before NOT all the departments who go up north have only active members. montrose (cortlandt engine company) is two seperate organizations. we just happen to fall under the same roof. we have both active and associate members. most of our members at parades are active, however when we went up north it was mostly associate members. as i said before we have over 60 active members. hopefully thats all for now...

where abouts are LaGrange 's tankers located in their district i saw one looks like station 2? does anyone in dutchess county have a super tender? (thinking tractor trailer set up)

the f-750 was built for farm work in the mid west. where my mother-in-law currently lives its not rare to see one of these monsters rolling up the road. i believe ford has a deal with CAT right now for the engines for the f-750's. all the medium duty trucks are cummings (i believe). the truck looks sick and alot more juiced up then the ones ive seen in Michigan.

afternoon all, just a reminder to all tonight is the night for the bowl for autism at cortlandt lanes!!!! i was unable to find the directions link on the bowling ally's web site. so heres the best i can come up with, if your comming from dutchess take the taconic state parkway to the peekskill exit (might say route 202 not sure) when u get to the bottom of the exit make a right say on 202 crompond rd go 2 traffic lights and bowling ally will be on the right just before the entrance for the bear Mt parkway. comming from down county take rt 9 north all the way up stay on 9A will switch to bear mt parkway when u reach the annsville creek bridge. stay straight on bear mt parkway all the way to the end make the left at the last light will put you onto rt 202 bowling ally is ur first left after u make the left onto crompond rd ( rt 202) hope this gives u all a general idea of how to get there if u need more directions please feel free to call the lanes at 914-737-4550 listen to then opcom im not sure what extension it is for the front desk. thanks hope to see some of u there Ken

Last I knew members had to make a certain amount of parades to get a new uniform. Company pays for the whole thing...only thing members have to supply is black shoes.
