Looking to see if any of my fellow firefighters would be interested in Purchasing 2 Blue Whelen ION lights that I purchased, but decided not to use. The lights are still in their original packaging. I'm looking for $100 / each or best offer, Thats' basically what it cost me to buy them after shipping etc, not looking to make any money, just cover what I spent http://www.whelen.com/_AUTOMOTIVE/details_prod.php?head_id=8&cat_id=64&prod_id=478 If interested, please send me a private message. Thanks, Eric

Here are some pictures I took at last Sunday's MVA w/Pin I/F/O 222 Main Street in Mt. Kisco. The man driving this pickup truck damaged approximately 10 parked vehicles on Green St and Main Street before he finally rolled his truck over in the middle of Main Street. Luckily there were no other people injured in this accident. Driver was transported to Westchester Medical Center as a precaution.

The rescue ladder was deployed by the crew doing overhaul in the attic....... Got to make sure you have a second way out LOL
-
I don't know the final outcome... but from what I saw... possible DWI....
-
Jon.. you left out a very important detail... There are only 300 tickets... So anyone who makes a $100 donation, has a 1 in 300 chance of winning the big prize...

My only comment is.. discrete DOESN'T always = less $$$$ extra LED lights were added to this vehicle to make up for the lack of a lightbar..

The strip of stores stays.. The hospital owes all the stores in the strip. The fish market on the corner, which is a separate builing is not owned by NWH. Final Village approval is expected mid Febuary, if that occurs, construction fences go up around March 15th, shovel in the ground early April.

Northern Westchester Hospital hope to break gound in early April of this year..

Being a recreational boater myself, I was just curious what type of boat was it and how big? Sounds like everyone on scene did an awesome job…

You are correct about Mount Kisco Fire, as of 8am this morning, we are now using the trunk radio system (60 Fire 16) for all rig to rig or rig to county communication. The low band radios have been turned off.
-
Just an FYI Northern Westchester Hospital's ER has the trunk radio up and running. ER staff is monitoring it... A handful of ambulance have called in on it.. mostly Yorktown VAC....

Has anyone programmed the new Uniden BCT15 Scanner to listen to Stamford's EDACS radio system and got it to work? I thought I programmed it just as I did in my old BC785, but I dont hear anything in Stamford, but if I bring the old scanner with me, I can listen to them.... HELP.... Thanks Eric
-
Thanks... I have the ARC 15 lite program.... So, if you could send that to me, that would be great..
-
Im using the Butel ARC 15 Lite Software. I've programmed stamford before in my other scanners, so I know how it suppoed to work, but for some reason, I dont hear them. I'm sure it one stupid little check box or something like that. So, got any ideas?

THe New Engine 106 is a 10 man cab. It carrys 1000 gallons of water and 60 gallons of foam. In the cab there is an LCD control screen. When the parking brake is released and someone has not buckled there seat belt, an alarm goes off and a diagram of the cab comes up and it showes you which seats are occupied and not buckled up. The Engine can still be driving, but let me tell you thet alarm that does off will drive you nuts... Oh and yes, the Engine has rollover side airbags too.. Check out www.ifco13.com for additional pictures of the new Engine etc

A standard UHF Portable will not work... You need a UHF Portable that is capable of being programed for Motorola Type II Trunking system.. which will cost you about $3000 for one radio. And from what I hear... The county with this trunking system has the ability to control what radios use the system, so if they dont give you access.. it isnt going to work.. I guess they want to control who has access to this new system.... Just an FYI....

I am looking for anyone who would be willing to share their photos of 2nd Alarm Fire in Mt. Kisco at 15 South Moger Ave. lastnight. Credits will be given to anyone who shares their photos. The pictures would be used for the IFCo13 webpage. I'm in the process of writing up a news story and could use a couple more good shots. I'm hoping to have the story up in the next few hours, so if you are willing to share a couple shot, please e-mail me at captain@ifco13.com Thanks, Eric Captain IFCo

the trunking portable can be also programed with the 8 fireground freqs. So yes, the IC could carry one radio, but he would have to switch between the two different channels, one channel would be fire ground, the other would be thr trunk talk group to 60 control... but once again, this is not safe, when then chief is talking to 60, he will not hear any fire grond chatter, so he could miss a urgent message or a mayday... and if he is on the fire ground freqs. 60 control or responding in rigs will not be able to reach him... so once again... 2 different channels = 2 radios, which = a safe operation for all on the scene...
