If they are junior members that are legally approved by the AHJ as a "member" which is generally 16-18, then they have the right to sit in any NYS class as any other person, but cannot perform hazardous duties as sited in other replies here.

The Beekman Fire District will be having a "wetdown" for our new apparatus, a 2008 Pierce PUC rescue pumper on Saturday September 12, 2009. Event will begin at 1pm at the Beekman Fire Station, 316 Beekman-Poughquag Rd, Poughquag NY 12570 There will be food, soda, beer, t-shirts, mugs, raffles, live music. Wetdown T-shirt/22oz. beverage mug combo (unlimited refills) will be sold for $15 each, and ceramic wetdown mugs will be available for an additional $15. Food is free. Their last boat was the same as this one, almost identical. It was for sale on SVI's website for quite some time. I heard through the grapevine that the previous boat was purchased not knowing it was a demo unit, and they had problems with it. They also have 2 Achillies inflatable boats.

The PUC, sadly did not get used. we were going to use it for cleanup with the foam due to the huge piles of debris, but we had the excavator there quickly and we just pulled it apart and soaked it down with the water supply that was already established.
