Seth, you should also think about contacting the NY Attorney General about the bait and switch technique used in the advertising (I used to work there, they might be able to read the ad and find in your favor). I would also contact the better business bureau as well. Complaints will keep them from getting the seal of approval, or membership.

If you are looking to go towards an investigative role, such as arson, you can look to University of New Haven. They have an amazing fire science program, and their forensic investigation program is second to none. EMT will most likely help you getting hired by a dept that runs EMS, but I really can't think of any other degree that the fire service favors. I think they just like the idea that they have someone who has completed a degree program to show that they don't have a box of rocks on their hands. I know alot of the PD like Master of Public Administration (MPA) for the officers to advance their ranks to sgt. and above

The Eldo on 119 in Elmsford is always great after a night boozing. Food is out of the kitchen in about 6 minutes. When sober, the diner on 9 in Ossining (landmark??) Is fantastic. P.S. The problem with cable is that you share it with everyone that is hooked up to the same pole, thus, killing your speeds. FiOS is a nice fiber optic system, which has cleared up alot of the reliability issues of cable, and totally destroys DSL
