While I do feel that he cop was wrong by putting his hands on the child, he has every right to yell at him. I also feel he was right saying that the kid can talk to his father that way, but not to the officer. Show respect for the person that is risking their life to keep them safe.

Seth since your situation has dramatically changed, have you considered running for commissioner, and trying to change the system from within?

I don't know if this has been posted or if anyone has any further information. From what I have heard after the Opie and Anthony show on Monday, 1/21/08 92.3 WXRK (K-Rock) will change its format from rock to Country. I am sure that this will make a number of people as we are lacking a country station in our area, but unfortunately, we lose our ONLY rock station at the same time. If anyone has anything further, please post. AGAIN, this is not official, just what I heard.

I can understand suspending a person for not heeding many warnings, and I can even see you supporting your friends decision, but I really don't feel that gloating is necessary. It does not serve any purpose other than stirring the pot, which is exactly why the other member was suspended. THis is in no way, shape, or form a taunt to the mods/admin, I would just like to see you guys take the higher ground on matters like this.

will the threads be deleted or just locked? I feel that if they are deleted, it could lead to an influx in reposts. Also, some of the threads have some useful information in them, would be a shame to have that lost.

I agree with chief, even if they were identified as illegals, there is nothing they could do about it. If they were to put a definitive term on what it means to be an illegal and a punishment (other than deportation), then we might be on to something.! Also, I am sure the ACLU would start crying that it is a violation of the civil liberties of the illegals.

Just because people don't run this site, doesn't mean they don't know how to manage other projects efficiently. I hope your vision works out in your favor. I enjoy this web site thoroughly and would hate to see anything happen to it.

Unfortunately, drivers wearing seat belts get ejected quite frequently. The seatbelt generally keeps you from being eject through the windshield. I have seen several people that have gotten eject through the sun roof, side windows, and rear windshield. There are many factors that have to be taken into account, was the driver strapped in properly? How many times have you seen a driver with the shoulder strap behind them so the are basically only wearing a lap belt. The velocity of the impact can cause the devices to fail. The speed of the rotation and the direction of the rotation has alot to do with it as well. One of the biggest factors that I have come across is the posture of the driver. So many drivers recline their seats so that they are almost driving from the back seat. This creates a void between the driver and the safety restraints. This small space allows he driver to create massive momentum. That momentum can translate into an incredible shock load (think rope rescue loads). This load impact combine with the structural damage involved in the crash can cause material failures. Also, with the driver (or passenger) being so reclined, if the car were to spin, and strike an object iin reverse, the seatbelt will do nothing to keep the driver stationary. The impact, plus the angle of the seat back almost create a launch ramp for the patient.
