ok my question here is there are 3 foot waves and people are freaking out? the tsunami a few years back had waves like 20 feet. why are they causing all this rukus? out at sea i am sure there are ships and weather bouys that would give information that nothing huge is coming. a 3 foot sweall will do some damage but not wide spread damage like a big wave.

the issue is not that they have stuff on the outside but that i am sure some guys have stuff that we shall say is "in questionable taste". There is no way they meant "NO MASS CARDS AND NO FLAGS". I think that this issue should delt with on a 1 to 1 basis. if one guys finds something offensive then ask the guy to take it down. more over this is a fire house and the locker area is not for the public to see or be in. this would mean that it was an internal issue and should be delt like that. no need to make a huge deal about it. just say guys clean it up a little and maybe put the real questionable stuff on the inside of the locker.

how about if when these incidents accure, the city fine the family for the crimes that the person did. Now if the family decides not to sue, fines will not be applied. their son was doing something illegal. how can they think that they are the ones who have the right to sue. it is horrible that the person died but thats his fault. it's not like he was taging a building and then something fell off the building and killed him. he put himself in a dagerous situation on his own. it is like a firemen sueing cause he got burned.

Anyone know how to put the trunking system into a scanner? got a new Uniden BCT8 and am trying to program it but have no idea what type of trunking system westchester is running. if anyone can help that would be great. it has Trunk types Motorola type 1 and type 2, EDACS, LTR. This guy is laying it down big time. i think that this clip basicly covers everything that we feel everytime a cop is killed or someone questions the actions of a police officer in these kinds of cases. SFPD had to deal with a repeat offender and now one cop is dead. the media needs to get there act together. they always blame the victems or the police in these types of cases. Being a cop is nasty work, ok, your job is to deal with the worst types of people on earth. these aint smart people. these are criminals. these are people who kill others. sometimes things need to be done that might make softer people uncomfortabe. when guess what, I like my cops kicking a$$ and taking names. i sleep at night knowing that they are out there watching over all of us. i don't think they caught the guy, not sure, but i am sure if he is free he aint seeing many more days of freedom.

I see nothing wrong with taking the garbage out. he was a problem to society and most likely was not going to go on to cure cancer or anything. He kills 2 cops and wounds a few others and people are outraged? um folk you are not suppose to disrespect the cops, very basic here. i think it should be added to the police SOP's that when a police officer is gunner down those swat guys guns go from 3 round burst to full-auto. i know it is a drill team and not like real, but "A new race car will hone the volunteers' firefighting skills by enabling them to compete in drill tournaments". sounds alot like honing there skills for bragging rights and not so much for actual firefighting. i have never seen one but i know about them. looks fun and all but i think they need to not lie to the taxpayers about what it is for.

Ok so how is this helping their firefighting skills? if i recall you are not supposed to ride on the tailboard, not suppose to run on the scene, wear all your PPE and also a SCBA. lets also not forget travel at a reasonable speed to the scene. they look like a bunch of yahoo's. i also agree with the point that you guys were showcased for fleesing the taxpayes for all this money and then you say you want to buy a race car in your budget? maybe ya should have left that part out. the rec room may have needed some work but i am sure they were only gonna buy a bigger fridge for beer, resurface the bar they have now, buy a new pooltable as well as redo the bathroom so it have $1 bills for toilet paper. there are some other departments in the state that could use the state money that you guys get on top of the tax dollars. maybe the state could limit what a department that has been found doing some of this over-spending can recieve

didn't the physical come before the pych test? and as for the physical start traing and running everyday. it is the step mill, then a ladder raise, pulling a fly section of a ladder using the halyard, a wall breach, a maze, a hose drag, and a simulation of pulling ceiling and lifting a hatch. it is quite hard if you are not in shape.
