biggest crime is someone coming in from the bronx to rob a house at night. it is a safe place to live and i don't think that there are to many cops here. i was born here and grew up here. never had a problem with the police and they all do a good job. north pelham needs the police, more commercial up there on 5th ave. Manor is residential, mellow area.

Ya the Manor is not conected to pelham at all. we have seperate FD and PD. but i think the merger would be bad for police. the layout now is fine. the responce times are great and there is not need to change it. "if it aint broke, don't fix it" there is gonna be alot of talk about money but guess what, the town taxes barely go to the FD and PD of both sides. it is all school. just a plain bad idea.

I went to the funneral yesterday in Long Island and i was wondering if anyone knows a website that explains the diffrent medals that the city guys got? I looked on the FDNY website and they have a list of recipients but not what the medals look like.

Plus the selling point on it is it has the diffrent 9/11 medals in it. i would buy it only cause i want to know what the medals mean, but he only wants checks. i am not sending money to anyone if there is a chance of not getting it

Sounds good to me. Also the janitors would not be covered i guess. I see that who situation as they have a job and then they leave that job to go fight fires, it is just like anyone else out there who has a job and leaves when the pager goes off, only they are the closed guys to the house.

well i am glad there are other people out there who love a little fun in the woods like me if you do know of these other places see if they have websites so we can all look at them and pick one that works for everyone.

I am with you on this one. we should not be in bars in full uniform. i know some of the city guys take there badges off and whatnot so they can not be pinned to any certain house. i think that if you are gonna go to a bar in unifrom, keep it a light night. a drink or two is fire, but blasted out of ones mind, not good. people do look up to us and you don't know what might happen later in the night. maybe someone drives home and has a crash in uniform. not good PR for department. lets all just use our heads and stay smart out there.

well i think that it is all a bunch of crap. who knows what they were doing. maybe it was all her "giving" then a "job" and they were all just standing around. maybe it is a slow station. i think that ya it is bad and not cool but if it is 3am slim chance someone is gonna run up on the house and say there is a fire. it could happen, but how many times has it happened to anyone on this site? i think that it should have been delt with inhouse and not publicly. it was consensual. there is not investigating. ya I did them and they did me. this is not some girl who comes to the fire house off the street and then all hell breaks loose. everyone was cool with it.
