Torrington fire Dept has one of these Hazmat rescues. It's staffed by E-1 crew with is driver an officer and 2 FF's, they respond to wherever they are called, from there own area or even to Boston if they need them, E-1 would be covered by a callback.

What are they big diamond plated boxes on the roof of FDNY engiens, ive seen them only on squads now im seeing them on engines and trucks too. What is stored in them?????

Hastings FD has all there members gear stored on the rigs, does any other department still do this????

I've noticed colored lights on on trains on the hudson line and i was wondring what they are, they look like those new pump level lights on the sides of engiens.
