Thanks to Steve, i have all the right info in the scanner now and i have been picking up some "non" 60 control chatter. Anyone know who this might be?..beeline busses?

Now, Now...lets calm down. As long as no one in Putnam has.....an allergic reaction, asthma, ANY cardiac related problems, seizures, severe bleeding, hypo or hyperglycemia, or any other ALS type problem, we should all be fine.......NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone programmed the trunked frequencies in their scanner yet and has been able to monitor any of the testing? I programmed my BC785D with the frequencies and the spacing and i still hear nothing. Here is what i put in.... 1 2 Base: 470.3000 476.0000 Spacing: 12.5 12.5 Offset: 380 570 North Zone 470.32500 470.35000 470.37500 470.52500 470.55000 470.57500* South Zone 470.07500 470.10000 476.07500 476.11250 476.21250* 476.23750* Should the setting on the scanner be on "control ch only" ??

Thanks steve, i will give them a try. I also had the steps off, they were not at 12.5. Thay may have been the problem.

well, it all depends on how much you want to spend and what your needs are. If you want to listen to yonkers and greenburgh pd, you will need a BC 785 with card or BC 796 that comes with it-both around 400-500 dollars. The new BCD996t is comming out soon. 6,000 channels and digital ready. I have the 796 and for everything around here it is great. 1,000 ch. monitors all trunking and digital(with card). very well made scanner.

Your scanner is only as good as your antenna....Period!. I have been a buff for 20+ years. There are 2 things needed. Good antenna and ELEVATION. if you listen onlt to your local stuff,any antenna should work ok, but if you are buffing,i recommend the Scantenna. it is tuned to receive all bands including 800mhz. the cost is around $50.00,but worth every penny.

Getiing back to Riverdale. It is the Bronx. 100%..All FD,PD and EMS units are from the bronx. The part down by Columbia Pres. Hosp off Broadway is the Manhattan line,near the 50pct.(where ess4 is). There will allways be a dispute over where people "think" they live,but the facts remain. People that live in the north end of New Rochelle think they live in Scarsdale because of the PO,But the taxes go to the city. I have done calls in the north end and the first thing that was asked is why the scarsdale anbulance was not there.
