  1. Mine is constantly 'under construction' because of time and motivation constraints. I enjoy updating my site but am often busy with work or other, more important things.
  2. If you notice I post something wrong, feel free to email me with corrections. Thanks
  3. There are a number of 2012 Dodge Chargers about to hit the road as well... Caprice
  4. Interesting, this is the first I have ever heard of a Sutphen aerial failing. I have heard before that the company prides itself in a zero aerial failures.
  5. Only if the vehicles are certified as EASV's per NYS V&TL.
  6. Nice. Is that a dump truck behind the fuel truck in the background at about 2:51?

  13. Neither is a turnout coat, pants and a hood... If things really turn on you, and you are engulfed by flames, you will get burned. Even with wildland or structural turnout gear. No one wears an scba in the woods. I am not advocating the use of jeans and a tee for fighting brush/wildland fires, but structural turnout gear isn't meant for that type of work (like you indicated). Just as we (most of us..) don't wear proximity gear for structural fires. For decades nomex wildland gear has worked just fine for the USDA FS, CAL FIRE, BLM, and agencies that fight enormous Forrest fires. You must be familiar with the job and be aware of changing conditions.
  14. New Freightliner SD108 is sharp, almost looks like a MACK.
  15. I believe Red Hook (Dutchess) Fire Department's Rescue 58-55 still has one. http://10-75.net/apparatus/ny/dutchesscnty/redhookfd/5855.htm
  16. I photographed them a week ago, Im surprised to see them in service so quickly. I believe 292 was delivered Yesterday?
  17. Delmar's Engine (written off of Albany Airport CFR specs) has both the in bumper crosslays and a structural steel bumper. The airport wrote the specs so that they could move stuff out of the way if it was absolutely necessary. Sidebar - The name for this style bumper crosslay as available from Marion and Pierce is called the "Selkirk Crosslay" nammed after Selkirk, NY Fire (who has been ordering their pumpers like this for decades.
  18. Were Amenia and Amenia Rural or Amenia Union two different departments? Does anyone have specs on this truck? I can see that it's an International/Oren, any year? pump/tank size? Thanks
  19. Not if he can get it on state contract. Or lightly used on eBay....
