  3. Not the first time that has happened. An instructor of mine gave my EMT class many graphic stories, similar to the above listed. He also came upon a co-worker's (EMT) wife that didn't realize she was pregnant. Not just once, but twice. She only weighed 120lbs and just thought she was getting fat... You'd think she would have realized it the second time...???
  4. Rest in peace brother.

  14. Greetings, I just acquired a number of 2.5 gallon pressurized water fire extinguishers. I am wondering what I could add to the water as an anti-freeze agent because I would like to store one in my car and not worry about the can freezing. Also, I once read that adding dish soap or detergent turns the water into a mild class a foam, making the extinguisher more effective. Any truth to this? Any/all help is very much appreciated. Thanks & Merry Christmas!
  15. Thanks Gents, I am looking for an industiral grade concentrate soap at this point. Otherwise, I suppose Dawn ® will work.
  16. I recently visited their house, it wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst I have seen. Anyway, I wish them the best and hope that operating in the same station as EMS won't be too much of an issue.
  17. Thanks! I have seen plenty of downed burning primaries, but have yet to experience a gas main rupture, leak or fire as a result. Stay safe, Happy Holidays!
  18. How exactly does a downed primary cause a gas main rupture?
  19. Good to know, I am from the Albany area. I will take a look around.

  21. I would be interested, just to go get a photo of one of these places. Maybe that is justification for a trip to Manhattan...
  22. New NYSP cars are delivered to the NYSP shops located on the NYS Harriman Campus in Albany. Troop G vehicles are serviced at Troop G Headquarters in Loudonville. I believe that each troop HQ has an auto maintenance shop. The Troop T (Thruway) vehicles are maintained by the Thruway Maintenance shop located in Selkirk, NY just off exit 22. HTH, Eli
