I gotta say it's getting really old every time I look at someones photos of a fire and read "great job guys" on facebook when obviously poor tactics have caused extensive damage and further extension of fire. Or worse, lack of tactics/experience have caused a fatality. It seems to me that there isn't enough negative feedback, specifically in the fire service (Most EMS systems have QA/QI now, I hope). We have 'critiques' with the battalion after a job where we discuss how/why things were done and often point out mistakes but I know this isn't a practice across the board in the career or volunteer service. I have also been to plenty of 'critiques' for other departments where nothing but a few pats on the back were given out despite glaring issues with training, manpower and safety. For the record, I am not attacking any service, just voicing my opinion.

True; but, I know of some that are leased Ryder trucks with NY or NJ plates, no markings lights or sirens.

I believe TF-1, DMAT & DMORT also have a number of unlettered vehicles including tractor trailers in and around the City.

I just drove by the store, it looks to be closed as well.

The vehicles will be distributed throughout the state staffed by NYS OEM regional directors. There is a total of 9 of them that will be delivered to each OEM region's RD. I believe they have 10 more 2014 Tahoes on order.

I take it they don't have RSI? And no benzos? Seems very strange.

I don't normally set photo trips up in advance other than contact a few people I know from departments that are harder to find people but I've had a difficult time finding people the last few times I have been in Westchester. My plan is to on Thursday or Friday next week (Sept 6/7), depending on who is available photograph some new apparatus in: Mount Kisco Milwood Bedford West Harrison If anyone from any of these departments is available to move apparatus, plese let me know.
