-
It didnt have the year on that dept's website but it does look like the old ladder 13 and former peekskill ladder 45
-
what an idiot another Blackeye for the fire service
-
Rescue/rescue pumper
-
that would be it
-
pump testing a demo vehicle
-
Is that what you are getting? Were the specs written for a Sutphen?
-
Good Luck to Croton. This seems to be the way alot of Rescue Squads and FD ambulances are going to survive especially with the patient billing it does help them get everything without a problem new rigs new equipment regular supplies.
-
I wonder what specs they wrote that it was rebid ?

Seth Not that many people try to come to the PD everyone tries for Fire Control but also because of the data you have access too you go through an indepth backround check for the PD. I just started my 9th year there and have seen alot of people come and go
-
just out of curiosity why does your dept want to get rid of there first truck it's part of history
-
I dont know why it is 2 seperate lists but the jobs are for Westchester County Police Communications and Westchester County Fire Control aka 60 Control
-
Eddie Collapse 5 is actually a 1982 american la france that was assigned to rescue 2 and was refurbed with a mack cab so it's been all over the place as far as going back to be rescue 2 after 9/11 and such
-
what kind of truck what year and the info on it

Another one is the advancement of the extrication tools back in the day alot of departments didn't have any. Alot of departments prior to extrication equipment used a K-12 saw and a hoseline to keep the sparks down .
-
The new methods of firefighting like the fit 5 knocking down most of the fire in the room before the hoseline is in place
-
How do you get on that job anyway or how was the application process
-
I have to agree with Tommy and Kevin on this as a member of a neighboring dept Peekskill needs it bad alot of there house are too far gone and would cost too much to repair. The trucks arent getting any smaller and like was said earlier you are putting 4 engines 1 Rescue 1 tower ladder 2 paramedic flycars plus you need areas for both career and volunteer plus bunk rooms training areas meeting space decon rooms offices for the officers equipment room. Alot of people think Peekskill is small because it's 4 square mile but it's spread out and they are really busy both fire and ems and they arent getting any smaller there is alot of developement going on. So to my friends in Peekskill good luck with the new house you do deserve it. It's well overdue.

I think the helicopter was a great use of resources they spotted it from the air they were able to pin point the area. If you read the article the sheriff's dept did use some atv's the helicopter saved the ground units numberous trips by taking 2 huge bundles of the plants out of where they were. Leaving the plants there would have only made it easier for whoever might have planted them there. Good Job WCPD Aviation and PCSO

Goose Why should any pd sit there and EMD a call when 60 control is already trained for. It takes 2 seconds to transfer the call and no cummunity is suffering obviously you have never been around a dispatch center if you have one sgt on dispatching at a local pd what happens if there is a robbery should he put that on hold when he could have just transfered the call to 60 where they have the resources to complete the job and That's right they dispatch the ambulance and medics throughout the county so it only makes sense for 60 to emd they can give the medics and ambulance updates as they emd. The pd's have alot of other things going on .
-
It will never happen in this county
-
Seth It's too busy on both sides it just wouldnt work. If you share infustructures how would you set it up who would get priority if there is a fire or a pursuit or another situation going on. You worked in both places you see how it can be busy on all 3 sides Police, fire and ems. Another thing that would come into play is who would you answer too the fire supervisors or police supervisors.
-
markmets Just set something up where all the rigs can be outside in a nice sunny place and do like 5 or 6 departments on a trip depending on the size of the dept alot of people might be alot of members that would attend make a signup and whoever wants to attend may attend
-
you guys should set up an EMTBRAVO photo shoot have a group go from place to place set something up alot of people might like that
