This question is for LEO's, what do you think is better the PBA style unions we have up here or the FOP that's huge that they have down south and in the west. I have several relocated friends in FL and Washington that claim whatever they want they get with contracts and the FOP has more professional courtesy than our PBA unions up here. I'm a member of FOP 957 out of Orange County and I have had better offers for discount 2nd dental and a cheap second life insurance policy and with all this anti union buisness spreading I'm asking for any LEO active or retired to answer the question. Is it better to have a national organzation with all its resources to represent you or would you rather have the local more personal PBA be our barganing chip. I believe based on my memebership at 40 dollars I get a lot of bang for my buck with FOP and am curious to see what they would do on a local regional or statewide level in NYS.
