Grumpy i love how you listed everything we should have in the RMP trunk. I am still searching the trunk for half of the items on the list. But honestly Grumpy hit the nail on the head in regards to the NYPD. All of the RMPs suck. my partner and I can barely ever fit our bags in the trunk. 4 bags + AED plus spare tire...good luck Impalas suck 2 years old and 3 of ours have no AC. Or doors don't lock- gangs love that. Crown Vic is/was my favorite. I hear the old Chevy Caprice was the best. plenty of room and was a tank!

you're assuming that the car would be spec'd with a Hemi and not a V6

I guess that is probably part of what will be reviewed. When North Hudson Rergiona Fire & Rexcue was created in NJ, they absorbed at least on FD w/vollies (Town of Guttenburg, I think?). I would look to see how they handled the process.

And what happens when you take that cone out, then possibly the PD car behind it(parked with no lights on, because it's in a closed lane), or end up in oncoming traffic, or rear-end one of the barrier-mover machines. There is so much happening at a toll plaza, including near-blinding lights, that it makes it very difficult to see what's on the other side, let alone the traffic pattern set up.
This is what happens when you have an idea that breaks a law, and you can ultimately pay the price for it.

Why does the City and the press automatically come after our contracts and say they need to be re-negotiated? Let's talk real money and discuss the deals made with developers that continually use high priced attorneys to get the best deal for themselves. No mention of re-negotiating these contracts because those same high priced attorneys would tie the City in knots in a court of law, and the City would eventually lose. When a union threatens the same we are called greedy but when a developer does it, they are just using good business sense. Amicone gave this City away to developers and got squat in return. Yes we get some sales tax but there was no benefit to the City's infrastructure. The people employed are mainly from the Bronx and Yonkers taxpayers get the short end again. Spano should assemble a commission to look into how Yonkers was raped under the previous admin and if they can't file criminal charges then use a publicity campaign to expose the one sided benefits that developers got and what the taxpayer paid. Not really expecting any of these cowards to do anything even close though. Government is no longer about serving people, it is self serving.

Bottom line here is that this was something that they were asked to do. It is obviously a rual volunteer department. As we all know, there are manpower issues that we all have to deal with. They did not take the hose out of anyones hands and I am sure they were directed as to where and how the IC wanted that hose stream directed. We are all here for the same reasons, to serve the public we were sworn to protect. Take help were you can when you need it. I am sure that as soon as there was adequate manpower the police officer's were relieved. I think it was even changed to a monitor unless I am looking at the wrong picture. Would we all rather have firefighters manning the line? Sure, but if you don't have anyone, I will take the help from the PD.

If its that murky, it means they are not flushing the hydrant properly and the water is coming from the same main that feeds your house.
