As I'm sure many of you know from previous posts, Croton's E119 is a 1984 Mack CF, in nothing less than "mint" condition. Unfortunatley, we will be giving it up late 2005/early2006 for a new Seagrave. In my limited experience of driving fire apparatus - Macks are the $&*(. They ride great, turn on a dime, and just look damn sexy. Needless to say, we are gonna miss ours. :cry2:

EMTBravo member and good friend of mine, Joe "G" aka E64PCFD2044, is now back to active duty and back to work after having a mishap/near death experience at work on 10-28-04. Best of luck, and for Pete's sake, don't get hurt again!!

I like Engine 23. It's done up real nice with the gold leaf numbers, and custom work all around the engine. It's a sharp looking rig. http://www.fdnytrucks.com/files/html/manhattan/e23.htm Also Engine 68/Ladder49 - Da Bronx Bombers - it says it all! http://www.fdnytrucks.com/files/html/bronx/e68.htm

Well, I think I spoke to soon in my last post on this topic...E119 was on standby all night at the firehouse during the "blizzard" We got called out for a smoke condition and arrived back at the firehouse somewhere around 0500Hrs. If I remember correctly, the snow started to stick to the ground at about 1400Hrs, the previous day. We had to go to the chiefs to get the DPW to plow just the ramp FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE SNOW STARTED!!!! Might I add that I heard that Sta 3 (Harmon Eng) was plowed a few times during the night. Does anybody see why the Sta. 2 Crew is getting upset about it???

I remeber once seeing the table upstairs in the kitchen of New Rochelle Sta 1. It had a real nice painted emblem on it. Does anyone have a picture, or remember what it said on it? :-k
