I've heard lots of people bash it, but out of all the radios i've used, the uhf HT1250 is my favorite. I also have a VHF HT1000, which is very reliable, i just wish it had all the features and channels as a HT1250. The EX600 is another awesome radio, but i think it's too small for some applications. But that's just my opinon.

Niether is dish soap. Obviously it's not as harmful as foam may be, but it does strip wax. It does the same thing to the rig that it does to the grease on your frying pans. Throw a good coat of wax on before and after something like that.
-
Now THAT is something I'd like to have a hand in. Nothing like a little foam to christen a new rig. BTW - New E119 Coming soon - although I think the Company is going to make it a "Dry-Down.'' - Panzies, lol!

Yes - There is a 3 1/2" discharge on the left side, and a 3" intake on the right side.

You'd think with all the serious accidents that happen in that area of the parkway they'd do something. Unfortunatley, nothing will happen until one of the family members of the higher-ups in the DOT are killed or injured there. Its a sad reality.

You really can't make this s*** up! Just imagine giving the new employee the grand tour... "And over here is where I keep my souvineer russian fighter jet..."

Delivery is expected Mid to Late May, with an In-service date of sometime in July. The apparatus committe is actually going out to the Seagrave plant in Wisconson next week to inspect the rig.

Another shot of FDNY E23

Definatley have to agree with onlocation about everything he brought up - especially black over red. Again, this isn't Westchester, but one of my favorite FDNY Apparatus is E23. Some of the things they have done really set it off from the other rigs. Everything from the gold leaf lettering, to the bell on the front, it really makes it stand out.

This is truly an amazing story. I wish I could have been a part of it, but I wanted to say to everyone involved, you all did an excellent job. The house looks amazing. And for only 5 days of build time, it seems unfeasable. God Bless everyone who had a hand in this project, and the Arena family. I can't wait to see the episode on TV

That would be nice, but the troopers don't get the money for the tickets. It goes to the local courts that cover that area. (At least that's what I was told a few times)

I think they're a little too big for a Tahoe, if you ask me. I finally got to see one in person the other day, and it's almost bigger than the Suburban. I believe it's taller, but not quite as long. It really doesn't leave a "mid-sized" SUV (not that it was really mid-sized to begin with) in between the Suburban and the Trailblazer. Oh, and "maisela," can I expect you as a repeat customer? I've got some good ideas brewin' lol

I could be wrong, but if i remember from the TV news story it was because they had a hard time getting to him.

" Heavy Throttling" In a Mustang Cobra? I don't believe it.

I've been studying from some Prep test books, and a lot of the questions are common sense, mechanical aptitude, and memory recall. Monty is right. Sometimes, you might be better off going in without knowing anything about firefighting. If you go to any book store, they will probably have a few selections of test prep books. My advice is to find one, and stick to its guides.

The exam applications are usually posted a predetermined amount of time prior to the exam date. Start looking at the Westchester County Human Resources website around Feb. 07. Or, just keep checking Bravo

You just glide along the top of the water. Once the bottom of the plane hits it, you'll pick up water, but if you go down too far, you will crash
-
Oh yeah - and one more - guys like these: More Stupid People
-
How about people who try to remove stuck snow from a snowblower while it's still running?
-
Yeah, the second level is even trickier - i almost had it, but those damn birds got in the way during the final drop.

It is frustrating, but when u get close to the water, gently ease your way down, glide along it for a sec, and go back up a little. If you keep doing that, you should be ok. And remember to slow down before you go to the water.
